Dr. William Far made the observation in the 1840s that epidemic events rise and fall in a roughly symmetrical pattern. Nowhere is this more obvious than with the rise (and fall) of Omicron.
Here are national and regional cases, hospitalizations and deaths.
Cases: Look at that roller coaster. We’ve now turned the corner where every HHS region has peaked on its 7-day moving average moving down.
Hospitalizations: Nationally, this too has peaked. Almost every region has peaked for Inpatient “Covid Beds Used” as well.
Deaths: Of course this will be the last stat to fall. We’re hoping to see a peak soon. Very few regions have peaked yet.
ICU rates however are dropping like a rock for older demographics.
